Our EPD for Windows Design (EPDWIN) Suites and our Stand Alone software products; Automated Gerber / GDS Import and Export and Bondwire Exporter, uses the AutoCAD OEM graphic engine v2019 licensed from Tech Soft 3D Inc.
The EPDWIN contains a set of standard design and drafting tools that will be similar to AutoCAD tools and are made for use with the design of layouts for the purpose in which the drafting tools are intended when purchased from CAD Design Software (e.g. design and layout tools for technologies such as PCBs, Ceramics, IC Packaging, Gerber export, etc.).

CAD Design Software uses 3D as a fundamental driving force behind all of its products. Most 3D-based engineering systems (Solidworks, Ansys, etc.) use either the ACIS or the ParaSolid 3D modeling engines. Use of either 3D modeling engine ensures that data can faithfully be reproduced and shared between Electrical CAD applications and Mechanical CAD applications. CAD Design Software leverages the ACIS engine to produce industry standard 3D models, and is currently the only Electrical CAD system that uses a 3D modeling engine.

2015 - CAD Design Software advances software to generate bond wire machine language code for use with Hesse Mechatronics (formerly Hesse & Knipps, Inc.) 820 Bond wire machine. The EPD core engine Boolean algorithm is also enhanced to speed up 3x for boundary programs like MPOUR and MAKEEDGE to speed up time of running routines.

2016 - Hesse Mechatronics Partners with CAD Design Software to develop proprietary software called Bond Wire Exporter for export to XML data file that contains wire bond information of polylines in a DXF/DWG file. This XML data file can be used with Hesse Mechatronics wire bonding machines that accept XML data format. This can be done on the Hesse Mechatronics Wire Bonders BJ820, BJ935 and BJ939.

2017 - Major Update Release of EPD v8.2.233 with updated core engines for EPD Design Suites and GerbARX products and compatibility with BricsCAD 16-17 and AutoCAD 2017-2018. CDS develops 65 (sixty-five) Plug-In Apps based on many popular routines, polyline editing tools and 3D Fastener generators for use with Autodesk products; AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD Mechanical, AutoCAD Architecture and AutoCAD Civil 3D versions 2013-2017.

2018 - ODB++ Utility now full Bi-directional. ODB++ Utility imports/exports an intelligent design created in EPD (or imported into EPD environment) by using the design process from one of our Designer Suites or re-intelligized from DXF/DWG files. EPD2ODB Exports ODB++ for EPD design models, or DMASKS generations from Model or Layout tabs, or documentation layers from Model or Layout tabs while the ODB2EPD imports ODB++ data stored in a hierarchy of files or file folders that are compressed in format tgz into EPD.

2019 - New 3rd Party Link that Imports Altium Designer® designs and parts into the EPD design environment. CAD Design Software signs a contract with TechSoft 3D to develop EPD software in the 2019 OEM stand-alone graphics engine for use with Windows.

2020 - CAD Design Software develops major software code updates to EPD v8.2.278 on popular routines; DMASKS, Panelize, AutoDoc and ODB++ Utilities.

EPD v8.3, GerBARX v8.3 and EPD Viewer v8.3 are also available for AutoCAD. CAD Design Software has discontinued support for the Bricsys-BricsCAD platform. New App Plugins for AutoCAD v3.0 are updated for AutoCAD 2018-2021.
